Partnership

ASSEJA works in collaboration with the Yaounde municipalities: Yaounde 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6 and 7 along side other structures and organizations as seen below.

Activities

• Identification of actors of the various sectors of activity.

• Establishment of alliances with public authorities, funders, and other organisations of the civil society.

• Signature of conventions with CBOs.

• Collaboration with consultants/ experts in view of carrying out permanent follow-up of realisations.

• Close follow-up of the populations in the implementation of micro projects.

• Retrocession of micro projects carried to beneficiary communities.

Results

• Initiator of the RODEUR network created on May 18, 2004, and coordination up till date

• Reinforcement of the capacities of the actors of Community based organizations in networking

• Partnership with municipalities for the development of local and communal plans for development in Yaounde (Etoug-Ebe and Oyom-Abang) ; Maroua (Mayel Ibbe quarter); Bertoua (Monou quarter) ; Ebolowa (Mekalat quarter) ; Douala (Brazzaville quarter)

• Exchanges with the Bamako council in Mali. RODEUR members carried out from May 23 to 27, 2005, an exchange visit to Mali. The Cameroonian delegation consisting of 10 people tied relations with the Bamako Council executives in Mali.

• Partnership with NGO/associations for the fight against HIV/AIDS for actions of sensitization, catering and advocacy.
